June Updates... 3 months and counting

May 31st... the shirt is getting smaller!


The latest gear for baby Cara... she's bound to be an Ohio State Fan! I just hope that she comes before the season starts!



New glider! The dogs bump it and then can't figure out why it starts moving. They bark hysterically at it... scared me to death the first time. I had no clue what they were doing in there. I walked in and all three dogs were standing around that poor little teddy bear, going crazy!

First Mother's Day!!

My First Mother's Day! Lot's of fun. I had breakfast in bed, went on a few errands, took a nap, and did some work around the house. Andy and I hung a little shelf that I painted (garage sale find) above the closet doors, we got the rug, and put together the dresser!

This dresser took 3 HOURS to put together! It had directions, but only pictures, no words. It was definately a team effort.

May is already here!

Putting up the wall art... pretty simple, just time consuming. Looks very "whimsicle" according to Aunt Sarah.

The growing belly!! :) No, there aren't twins in there, and yes, I know that I'm getting big. I'm 23 weeks this Thursday people... shouldn't I be growing? Ok, but I realize that I'm bigger than other people, that's something I've always delt with though. Did you think pregnancy would make me smaller?

A few other things to add to this month's update!

We figured we'd document the first pack of diapers that we bought and the last... whenever that might be. The next photo is the many pieces of the crib - we worked great as a team!

The dogs... checking out the crib. They aren't sure what to think yet! Oh! There I am... Chance is lovin' on his mama and Reese is trying to annoy me to death.

These are pictures of the room so far... the book shelf, the corner shelves (notice the ADORABLE converse high tops that I bought!) Oh, and notice my little rocking chair from when I was little. It's hard to image that I fit in that! I'll be painting that soon, right now it's just primed and ready to go!

This picture was my first (and I'm sure, not my last) project for the baby's room! Andy found this little shelf at a garage sale for $5 and I painted it brown and pink to match the baby's bedding. :) I had to buy the diaper organizer to match the colors - thank God for Target ... I can't wait to start decorating some more.

April showers bring... a BABY GIRL!!

Here is the baby belly at the end of March! WOW, growing every day! She's also getting more active, and Andy can't wait until he can feel her moving too!

Well, after 20 weeks of patiently waiting (ok, who am I kidding, I was not patient) we finally found out that baby Linkous is going to be a baby GIRL!! The doctor's office visit was unpleasant to begin with... crazy waiting room, 45 minutes of waiting to see the doctor, etc. But when we finally got back there, it was WELL worth it! She is a healthy 11 oz. baby with big feet! She was beautiful too. Everything perfect - at the beginning Andy even saw her sucking her thumb! Check out the pictures from her second photo shoot... such the little Diva already.

This month we also went to visit Aunt Mel and Uncle Nick. Amy, Curtis, Zeb, and Jen were there too! The girls and Zeb got to go shopping while the boys went off-roading in the jeep.

We have been having a lot of fun getting the room ready for her too. Andy took out the old carpet and is laying hardwood floors. Check out the progress!!

March Madness

Well, it's March 2nd... I'm almost 28, almost 14 weeks pregnant, and it snowed 4 inches in South Carolina (2 days of school cancelled!). Also, Reese ate pieces of Andy's sweat pants and had to have surgery. 22 staples later she is in good health (What a dumb dog)! My transmission on my car also died! Lots of great things happening!

For some good news...

We've had our second Dr. appt, which went well... got to hear the baby, but didn't get to see him/her again... We find out the sex of Baby Linkous on April 15th! (43 days and counting)

Here are the most recent pictures of the baby "bump" (if that's what you want to call it). Some of you might notice that the pants are different, that's because I no longer fit in the other pants (even thought they are ELASTIC!) I'm beginning to wonder what month I will no longer be able to wear this shirt! I've been back to the gym... more energy lately, less nausea, more time for the gym (great).

And... for those of your who have met (or heard of) our cat Cosmo, he has found a new home on a horse farm where he is very happy!
